Freddy Rivera was born in Los Angeles and raised in the Inland Empire. He started his radio broadcasting career fresh out of high school as an intern for radio legend Rick Dees. Soon after his internship, he realized radio was indeed the career he wanted to pursue and landed a gig as a producer for Playboy Radio.
From there, Freddy got his first chance as an on-air personality for 99.1 KGGI. It was a late Sunday night where his then-boss Jesse Duran asked him if he would like to cover midnight to 2am LIVE. The answer was a distinct, unmistakable YES!...
Freddy then became late night host on 102.7 KIIS-FM, midday host for 99.1 KGGI and was also heard on San Diego's Channel 93.3. In addition he was Nationally Syndicated through the iHeartRadio network Premium Choice (iHeartCustom). Next on his list… pilot’s license.
The flying became evident a couple years into living in LA. He started with Corsair Aviation at Van Nuys airport with the goal of getting his Private Pilot's license.
Most fans are drawn to him over and over again for what they say is his genuine light-hearted personality. He stays connected with his listeners by responding to his fans on social media and can be seen at local food and music festivals between LA and Austin.
